Málaga Food Market

I am a farmers market junkie, no denying it.
There is a farmers market two blocks from my house every Saturday which I visit, I love Union Market (which isn't really a farmers market, it's its own thing), and I've been dying to try the Dupont Farmers Market. So, to no one's surprise, this was one of my favorite places on our trip. The Málaga food market. This place was amazing and it reminded me of Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia; it's divided into three sections: meat, seafood, and fruit. I visited this place before my family when my summer program went to Málaga to visit the beach and I fell in love with the smoothies immediately. I am a sucker for smoothies.

The variety of food there is stupendous. I saw more types of shrimp there than I had ever seen before and the options of different types of fruits and nuts was astonishing. When my family visited our guide spent a lot of time walking us through and telling us about the different foods and what impacts they have on the culture. It was incredible. And to top it all off we ate croquettes and smoothies. I was in heaven.

I could have spent hours in this market talking to the vendors and planning all sorts of meals to make. It is an amazing place and I would highly recommend a stop to sample some of the foods there or to pack a picnic and hit the beaches. I don't know if others are just as obsessed as I am with food markets but this was one of my favorite stops and I could gush for hours.
